The Grants Pass City Council on March 18 voted to expand the Small Business Task Force from seven to nine members and completed appointments.
Council discussed committee size and representation, with several members supporting nine to assure diverse perspectives. Staff briefed the council on a category-and at-large selection process: one representative per industry category (technology; food & beverage; finance; agriculture; retail) and remaining seats filled at large from applicant pools.
Council approved expanding the task force to nine by roll call and then selected members: technology — Lanny Sullivan; food & beverage — Danielle Clarman; finance — Todd Tipton; agriculture — Carrie Bolts; retail — Nick Gates; at-large — Lindsey Brooke, Dwayne Lumpkin, Charlotte Heintz and Ward Warren. Staff will proceed to notify appointees and convene the task force.
