At its meeting the Fountain Hills Unified School District governing board approved a bundle of routine action items including the agenda, minutes from March special meetings, payroll vouchers, accounts payable vouchers, and a package of donations supporting school activities.
Board members moved and approved a general leave payout for a staff member (Evelyn Win) at the daily substitute rate after staff clarified an incorrect effective date in the personnel report. The board also approved payroll and accounts-payable vouchers and accepted several community donations, including two separate $2,500 donations from the Elks Club to support fourth- and fifth-grade field trips.
On compensation, the board approved the professional meet-and-confer agreement as presented. Administrators said the employee groups agreed to one-time payments, including an $800 December payout for employees contracted this year; that payout is described as a one-time distribution rather than a permanent salary increase. Board members also approved issuance of 2026–27 administrative contracts and 2026–27 support-staff work agreements.
Motions were made, seconded, and carried by voice vote on each item. Several trustees asked for clarification on effective dates, voucher line items, and the distinction between one-time payouts and permanent compensation; staff said they would provide corrected personnel dates and the rubric and documentation requested elsewhere in the packet.
