She said commercial work is picking up and that public projects identified by bond funding were contributing to rising public-construction permitting.
Staff also previewed permit‑system timing changes (LAMBA rollouts) and ongoing code‑modernization work with consultants. A new permit app and a plan to add an off‑street parking field to permit intake were described as steps to improve data collection.
No formal action was requested; staff said the trends indicate continued activity in 2025.
