Director Bane asked the board to approve a contract with Ardent General to prepare the Franklin Elementary site for temporary portables in advance of phase‑three construction. Trustees approved the authorization unanimously with no public comment.
Dr. Williams presented a proposal from Economy Movers to relocate district departments into the OSSC. He said the total cost of the move is about $188,000, and that Highspeed Rail has agreed to reimburse roughly $151,000; the district is expected to pay the remaining approximately $37,000 up front and seek reimbursement (staff estimated 60–90 days for payment processing). The board approved the proposal and instructed staff to submit invoices for reimbursement once incurred.
Both items were passed by roll-call vote without substantive public opposition. The approvals clear the way for phase‑three work at Franklin Elementary and the OSSC ribbon cutting planned for the district.
