DAC approves revised bylaws and carries prior meeting minutes by voice vote
Summary
The District Advisory Council approved a revision requiring executive-board nominees to be active participants of the DAC they represent prior to election and approved the Oct. 9, 2025 minutes by voice vote.
The District Advisory Council conducted routine governance business on Nov. 13 and approved minutes and a bylaws revision by voice vote. After review of the Oct. 9, 2025 minutes, Jose Lozano moved to approve the minutes; a representative named Vanessa seconded and the motion carried.
Later in the meeting, staff presented a single recommended bylaws change to Article 4, Section 3: executive-board members must be active participants of the district advisory council they represent prior to election (the revision clarifies that executive-board nominees must have been active in DAC as well as at their school-site councils). A motion to approve the bylaws was seconded by Crystal Lopez and carried by voice vote.
The chair announced that translations and written reports from the Oct./Nov. DAC meetings will be provided at the December meeting.
