Gardner City Planning Board continues hearings, schedules April items and elects new officers

At its March 10 meeting the Gardner City Planning Board postponed the Ymil Street public hearing and other items to March 24, scheduled the Walmart fueling-station hearing for April, and elected Eric as chair, Steve Cormier as vice chair and Bob as treasurer before adjourning.
The Gardner City Planning Board on March 10 moved several items to future meetings and completed routine business, including officer elections.
Early in the meeting the board voted to continue a public hearing on the Ymil Street item to the March 24 meeting so the zoning-board-of-appeals work and advertisements align with the next planning meeting. The board also placed the HediCo special-permit amendment and an FWP Realty Partners preliminary site-plan review on the March 24 agenda to allow applicants and staff to provide requested materials.
The board scheduled a formal public hearing for the Walmart fueling-station proposal for the April meeting because the required advertising period could not be met for the March 24 date.
In administrative business, the board accepted a mayoral letter proposing a code reorganization of sign regulations and voted to recommend a joint city-council public hearing on April 6. The board then conducted elections: Eric was nominated and appointed chair (one abstention was recorded during the voice vote), Steve Cormier accepted the vice-chair nomination and Bob accepted the treasurer nomination. After votes on officer appointments, a motion to adjourn carried and the meeting ended.
No final land-use decisions were made at the March 10 meeting; several items were continued to allow applicants and staff to provide additional materials for future hearings.
