Council requested that CAP return with documented comparisons and rationale for other proposed fee changes before the council considers additional adjustments.
Council members said they were sensitive to the impact on residents and asked staff to present the consultant’s supporting analysis to the council during the budget process or a dedicated workshop. The motion to add the notification fee and to require CAP to present justification for broader changes passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
Next steps: CAP will present the fee-justification materials and the council will consider any other fee changes in a future meeting, preferably timed with the town’s fiscal-year budget process.
