Board member Mr. Lori moved to approve the consent agenda “for personnel and curriculum as listed on pages two and three,” which was seconded. A roll call recorded ‘yes’ votes from Mr Ali, Mr Brockman, Mr Carter, Miss James, Miss Keith, Mr Lori, Dr Patel, Miss To and Mr W; the chair declared the motion passed.
Later in the meeting the board closed the public portion and adopted a resolution under the New Jersey open public meetings law (Chapter 231, P.L. 1975) authorizing an executive session “to discuss legal matters and [the] school calendar.” The resolution stated that the matters would be made public when the need for non‑disclosure no longer exists. The board then moved into closed session.
The meeting returned to open session and adjourned later the same evening. No additional votes on the matters discussed in closed session were reported in the public record at that time.
