The Burlingame Planning Commission continued the item for 1317 Paloma Avenue to the Oct. 15 meeting after the applicant failed to appear for the hearing.
Staff summarized the application as an amendment to design review for as‑built changes to a previously approved two‑story house and detached garage; the original design review and special permit had been approved Oct. 24, 2022 and a building permit was issued Sept. 6, 2023. During construction, several exterior modifications were made, prompting the current application and a September 10, 2024 explanation letter from the applicant.
When the commission opened the public hearing, no applicant representative was present. Commissioners discussed options including brief delay, tabling or continuing to a later session. Commissioner Schmid moved to continue the item to Oct. 15 so the applicant can respond to questions about the rationale for the as‑built changes; the motion passed on roll call. The commission noted that continuing to Oct. 15 would avoid re‑noticing if the applicant can appear on that date.
