Connorsville council adopts final-reading ordinance after consultant reviews final draft

The Connorsville Common Council voted to adopt the ordinance introduced at the March 16 meeting after a final-reading presentation by Adam of Municipal Group. Council members recorded a roll-call vote on the ordinance: Councilwoman Phillips and Councilman Rob voted yes; Councilman Gray and Councilman Collins voted no; Councilwoman McQueen and Councilwoman Barrett voted yes; Councilman Williams Jr. voted no, producing a 4–3 approval. The clerk’s spoken record contains an inconsistency: the ordinance was introduced in the discussion as 7073, but the clerk later announced that “Ordinance 703 passed on third reading.” The transcript’s conflicting numbers were noted during the meeting and remain unclear from the record provided.
