After brief deliberation and discussion of endorsements, a council member moved to decide the appointment by coin flip; the motion passed and Buskey won the toss. The council then administered the oath: “I, Jason Buskey, swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the constitution of the state of Wisconsin and will faithfully discharge the duties of said office to the best of my ability,” Buskey repeated during the ceremony.
