Floyd County Conservation Board files Castor Falls deed, asks supervisors to approve conservation ordinances

After discussion, Roy Schwickerath moved to request the Board of Supervisors' consideration of the draft ordinances; Jesse Frerichs seconded and the motion carried 5-0.
The board did not adopt the ordinances at the meeting; it voted only to ask the Board of Supervisors to take up the draft. The minutes note that fees associated with the Castor Falls transaction are typically waived for nonprofits after inquiry, but the transcript records that clarification as information obtained from a person named Brianne during outreach, not as a board action.
The board plans follow-up with the supervisors and will return to the board if further action or implementation steps are required.
