The Piscataway Township School District board unanimously approved a walk‑in resolution appointing Ernstston Glover as the district’s next superintendent, effective Nov. 1, 2025, or upon his release from current employment, with a term running through June 30, 2030.
Board members moved and seconded the appointment under personnel item R. Nancy Salgado Cohen read the resolution and the board took a roll call vote: Dr. Connors, Mr. King, Dr. Nelson, Mr. Patel, Miss Rivers, Miss Smith, Miss Stafford and Mrs. Salgado Cowan voted yes; Miss Chantel Cherry recorded an abstention. The motion carried and the board declared the appointment approved.
The board thanked non‑conflicted members for their work in the selection process and described an extensive search and interview sequence. Board leadership said the candidate demonstrated experience as a teacher, administrator and superintendent and emphasized leadership qualities the panel prioritized, including a child‑centered approach and data‑driven decision making.
Appointee Ernstston Glover addressed the board and community, briefly thanking the board and his family and pledging commitment to the district. "To the families and the students of this community, I assure you that you will have every ounce of my energy and my attention," he said.
The board held a brief reception after the vote. The appointment was presented to the Executive County Superintendent of Schools as required by district contract provisions, and the district said final start timing will depend on the appointee’s release from his current employer.
