Council reappoints waterfront members, appoints planning board member and approves three liquor licenses

Licenses: after public hearings the council approved an increase in the allowed counts for several license classes and granted a Class J (convention hall) license to Global Spectrum LP for concession sales at Boss Ice Arena. The council also approved a Class B limited liquor license for Off 1 Brewing d/b/a Tower Hill Brewing for taproom service. Council approved a Class B limited liquor license for Saipan LLC (doing business as Twisted Pizza Wakefield) subject to receipt of a certificate of good standing from the state Division of Taxation and surrender of the previous license.
Applicant remarks: John Salarda, the Saipan LLC manager‑partner, said the new entity planned to operate “responsibly and respectfully” and comply with town and state regulations. The outgoing owner, who identified herself as Effie and said she owns Pacifica, endorsed the sale and described her decision as driven by family considerations.
