Beaumont Unified board approves personnel orders and a budget adjustment; CSEA endorses Measure E

At its Oct. 8 meeting the Beaumont Unified board approved certificated, classified and administrative personnel assignment orders, adopted Resolution 20 24-25 D08 for budget adjustments, passed the consent agenda, and heard a letter from CSEA endorsing Measure E, which will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot.
The Beaumont Unified School District board on Oct. 8 approved routine personnel assignments and a district budget adjustment resolution and heard reports and community remarks at a meeting that included a public comment about athletic field maintenance.
Without discussion, the board approved the consent agenda and carried motions to approve certificated, classified and administrative personnel assignment orders dated Oct. 8, 2024. The board also received a financial summary from business services and adopted Resolution 20 24-25 D08 to implement beginning-balance and unearned-revenue adjustments.
Thomas Kowski, the district public information officer, read a letter from Frank Hernandez and the CSEA executive board expressing appreciation for district support and formally endorsing Measure E, which will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot. “We would like to formally express our full support and endorsement of Measure E,” the letter read as read into the record.
Student board member Kos reported schoolwide activities, including National Walk to School Day events, family reading days and a donation of 400 backpacks to Palm Innovation Academy. Administrators and management recognized staff milestones, and the board heard that Beaumont High School will receive a Quality Program exemplary High School award for its athletic programs; district representatives will accept some awards in December.
Board members offered brief reports, with Mr. Brown praising a Career and Technical Education (CTE) showcase and suggesting more student-focused CTE events, and Mr. Mitchell thanking CSEA for the Measure E endorsement. The meeting concluded with no additional formal actions recorded.
