Engineer Jesse Dean said Veit was the low bidder for the 2026 sanitary CIPP lining project at $97,565 and recommended awarding the contract; staff also recommended approving a $14,400 alternate to line one sanitary manhole now while the contractor has access. The committee approved the award and the alternate, bringing the total to $111,965.
The committee approved a proposal from Erickson Infrastructure to repair a guardrail adjacent to the College Drive bridge for $15,625; staff noted only one bid was received and public works can provide traffic control if needed.
A late agenda request from Alderman Stunek asked permission to reserve four angled parking stalls in front of the American Legion once a week during the school year so local veterans can attend noon meetings. Legal counsel said there is no ordinance prohibiting the reservation of those stalls; the committee approved the application and the item will be considered by the full council as needed.
All three measures passed by committee voice or roll‑call votes (Chizak: yes, Yaeger: yes, Erickson: yes). Staff will return to council if additional approvals or budget adjustments are required.
