Awarded recipients (read at the meeting) included the BFW D‑Day dinner ($3,000), Chapman Labor Day ($1,500), Chapman Middle School veterans project ($1,500), Solomon Festival ($2,000), Solomon Veterans Memorial ($3,500), Hope Festival ($3,500), Tri County Fair ($3,500) and several smaller flag‑pole and community projects. The grants are intended to ensure countywide participation in the 250th celebration and to provide timely funding before events occur.
Commissioners approved the list by motion and staff said they will notify recipients and follow established disbursement checklists. The program was run in partnership with the community foundation and the economic development corporation, which helped review and vet applications.
