Planning staff briefed the Prescott City Planning and Zoning Commission on April 9 about an administratively reviewed revision of plat for Forbing Park, an area north of downtown near Kyle Street, Adam Street and Iron Springs Road.
Planning Manager Alex Braramlet showed a map of the site and said the revision was largely a cleanup: multiple small parcels and an abandoned Kyle Street were consolidated, producing four parcels in the revised configuration. "They have reduced it down to four properties," Braramlet said, describing the absorption of the abandoned Kyle Street into adjacent parcels.
Braramlet said administrative review for this revision means the item had been circulated to engineering, fire and other reviewing divisions and that staff brings such administratively approved revisions to the commission monthly for transparency and informational discussion. Commissioners asked whether they could comment; staff said commissioners may offer observations but cannot change an administratively completed approval.
A council member raised an unrelated recent application at 130 North Cortez, saying the applicant has described a change from apartments to short‑term rentals; staff and commissioners encouraged follow‑up with the applicant or staff for clarification.
The commission received the report for information; no formal action was required on the Forbing Park revision because state law and administrative rules governed the approval process for this specific plat revision.
