Los Ranchos trustees approve budget adjustments for crack-seal and Fourth Street project

On April 15 the Board of Trustees approved Resolution 2025-04-01, a budget-adjustment request (BAR) that adds revenue and expense to Fund 311 to account for two capital activities: (1) co-op funding to pay for crack-seal work on multiple village streets and (2) TPF funding (LP300038) for Fourth Street Phase 2A.
CFO Tammy Silva told trustees the BAR establishes new departmental budgets so the village does not over-expend line items and remains in compliance with state statute. She reported the village’s cash position for March and noted three unusual transactions during the month; trustees had no substantive questions about the accounting entries beyond the roll-call procedure.
The resolution was approved on a roll-call vote (Trustees Benvitas, Kefir, Ranovich and Rhyno recorded as voting yes). Staff will proceed to record revenue and spend plans in Fund 311 and complete the reporting necessary for state compliance.
What’s next: Finance staff will record the BAR entries in Fund 311, proceed with crack-seal contracting under the co-op funds and continue project delivery for Fourth Street Phase 2A according to grant conditions.
