Wrangell Assembly pauses removal of residential heat-rate incentive after resident testimony

After public comment, Assembly Members Powell and Mach moved to amend the resolution to remove the proposed deletion of the separately metered heat-and-hot-water rate from the schedule pending additional explanation from staff. The amendment passed on a polled vote; the main motion as amended was approved by polled vote.
The action leaves the incentive in the municipal fee schedule for the time being and directs staff to provide a clearer explanation of the proposed change before the Assembly considers removing it. The transcript does not record a staff timeline for that follow-up.
