Santa Fe roundup: Free tax filing at main library, recruitment for immigration committee and redevelopment commission openings

Materials should be submitted to gfcardenas@santafenm.gov. The application deadline is April 15.
Metropolitan Redevelopment Commission openings: The presenter announced two resident openings on the Metropolitan Redevelopment Commission, which advises the governing body on planning, preservation, rehabilitation and redevelopment within the Metropolitan Redevelopment Area. One opening fills an unexpired term ending in 2030; the other is a new five-year term. Interested residents should send a letter of interest and a resume to Carlie Vendetti at cavendetti@santafenm.gov.
Library programs and other events: The LaFarge Library will host a yarn-and-crafts night Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; attendees may bring their own projects or start a new one, and supplies and help will be available. The Southside Library will present “Opera Makes Sense” on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., a music-and-storytelling program for children ages 3 to 5.
