The Sheboygan City Public Works Committee approved an amendment to allow Second Revolution, LLC (d/b/a EOS) to install internet service equipment at the Deland Beach House to support operations and credit-card processing.
Director Peterson explained that the building currently lacks infrastructure on the east side and that the proposed installation would "significantly assist in their being able to function a credit card reader," improving rental operations and program tracking. "There is no implementation implications to the city as far as cost. That will all be on Second Revolution," Director Peterson said.
Committee members expressed general support for modernization that allows vendors to process payments reliably. Alder Rust moved to approve the amendment; Alder Boris seconded and the committee approved the item.
The amendment authorizes city officials to execute the agreement permitting installation; staff said contractors have been contacted and the equipment is expected to be installed and operational before the upcoming season.
