Proviso Township HSD 209 board approves expulsions for four students, two held contingent on alternative placement

For student number three, the board approved an expulsion period noted in the record as running through May 26, 2027, but the expulsion will be held in abeyance if the student immediately enrolls in and successfully participates in the district's alternative-education placement at West 40 Intermediate Service Center (or a similar program chosen by the administration). The board said the expulsion will commence without further notice if the student fails to attend or participate successfully.
The board approved a similar contingency for student number four: an expulsion (recorded as Feb. 25, 2026–Jan. 4, 2027) that will be held in advance provided the student promptly enrolls and successfully participates in the alternative program; otherwise, the expulsion will take effect automatically.
