Franklin College files 250‑acre Innovation Park PUD; council sets public hearing for April 20

Franklin College asked the Franklin City Council on April 6 to rezone about 250 acres to a planned unit development to be called Innovation Park at Franklin College.
Planning director Joanna Tennel said the property is located north of Park Avenue (Greensburg Road) and west of Umbar Lane (County Road 450 East) and that the plan commission voted 8–0 to forward the petition with a favorable recommendation. Tennel said Franklin College representatives Tim Oaks and Tom Patz were in the room for questions but that the item was introduced this evening and is scheduled for public hearing and official action at the council's April 20 meeting.
Council members had no questions during introduction. The public will have an opportunity to comment at the April 20 public hearing.
