Library staff agreed to amend the exhibit so the purchase posts to capital outlay lines prior to second reading. Members also noted a timing constraint: certain district funds must be expended by June 30, so the library asked for an amended Exhibit A promptly to permit procurement and bidding within that fiscal window.
The committee also reviewed two related ordinances: a $71,897 carryover from fiscal-year district aid and a $1,000 Visit Erie donation match to support a library event tied to the American 250 celebration. Presenters said district libraries vote to allocate the district funds and that the vehicle purchase would not require new county dollars.
