At the March 18 meeting the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque Board of Trustees approved a package of routine but substantive items intended to update administrative rules and maintain operations.
Facilities rental policy: The board adopted Resolution 2025‑03‑01 to update the village’s facilities rental policy, aligning rates with comparable entities and simplifying application procedures. Trustees asked for clarifications on line items (parking areas, community garden plots and barn stalls) and confirmed village programs such as the growers and art markets receive special treatment; the resolution passed by roll call vote.
Budget adjustments: Trustees approved Resolution 2025‑03‑03 to reallocate general‑fund money: decrease Fire/EMS budget by $200,000 and capital roadways by $100,000, while increasing maintenance grounds and roadways by $190,000, professional services by $40,000, and attorney fees/settlements by $70,000 to cover fiscal‑year‑to‑date needs.
Surplus property: The board approved Resolution 2025‑03‑04 to declare obsolete vehicles and equipment surplus so they can be removed from inventory and sold.
Each of these measures was approved by roll call with the trustees recorded as in favor; the board then proceeded to more complex new business, including the moratorium amendment and the franchise advertisement discussed earlier.
