District approves multiple drainage and sewer pre-applications, local agreements and contracts

Separately, the board approved a resolution authorizing a joint undertaking between the Parish of Ascension and the district to plan, finance, construct, acquire and/or improve public projects and sewer collection and treatment facilities and to obtain necessary servitudes, rights of way and easements within Ascension Parish; it approved a local service agreement with the Parish of Ascension to similar effect. The board also approved a cooperative endeavor agreement with National Water Infrastructure LLC to build a regional sewerage collection and treatment system and to allow the company to utilize the district’s quick-take procedures.
