House adopts blocks of resolutions and advances several measures, including a state security operations center report
Summary

The House of Representatives opened its session with ceremonial introductions and then moved rapidly through its rules calendar, approving multiple blocks of House resolutions and voting on several legislative matters.
A block of resolutions called in the rules calendar was adopted by recorded vote, 118 yeas and zero nays, after members declined to set any for separate consideration. Shortly afterward the chamber took additional House resolutions in block and recorded further unanimous tallies.
The House also considered STR 536 (called separately from the rules calendar) and adopted the resolution by recorded vote, 118 yeas and zero nays. On the general calendar, members considered a conference report related to a proposed state security operations center. Representative Ford explained that an attached bill previously passed and that a reverse repealer had been removed to maintain sequencing; the conference report was adopted by recorded vote, 117 yeas and zero nays.
Representative Powell moved to dispense with the reading of the journal earlier in the session, and the clerk confirmed a quorum for the day's business. The House recorded a separate concurrence motion on House Bill 1150 later in the session (see separate article for HB1150). After a series of recognitions of student groups, athletes and visiting delegations, the House agreed to stand adjourned until 10:00 a.m. the following day with the journal to remain open until the last conference report is filed.
