Lisa Warner elected chair of Somerville Planning Board; Jason Krasa named vice chair

The Somerville Planning Board elected Lisa Warner as its chair and confirmed Jason Krasa as vice chair during its Jan. 14, 2026 meeting, following the administration of oaths to several board members.
During opening procedures the board administered the oath of office to Jason Krasa, Andrea Dair and Tim Hayes. The oath affirmed each member's duty "to perform all the duties of planning board member" in accordance with the Constitution and state law.
After roll call, members nominated and voted to appoint Lisa Warner as chair. The motion carried on a roll-call vote with unanimous assent from members present. Jason Krasa was later nominated and confirmed as vice chair. Krasa thanked the board after his election, saying he appreciated members "entrusting me with this again."
The newly elected chair and vice chair signaled the board will return to a full work agenda in February, including resuming detailed review of projects that were deferred to open-business discussions. No public comment was offered during the meeting.
The board's next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2026, when members expect to begin full reviews of the master plan and other priority items.
