Sheriff seeks deputies, detectives and a decade-long camera contract amid arrests spike

The proposal would convert currently fragmented camera systems into one platform with three-year refresh cycles; staff estimated an annual capital allocation in the $800k–$900k range to support a 10-year rollout. Commissioners asked about refresh guarantees, discovery and interoperability with the district attorney's office.
