Andreas Perez, presenting for engineering, said the 5.5‑foot sidewalk will be constructed on the west side of Cathedral Canyon Drive between Pel Aulejo and Kylie Road (District 1) to extend existing CB Link connectivity. Five bids were received; the lowest responsive bidder was SNH Civil Works of Colton, California.
Perez said the project is fully supported by Council Member Rita Lamb’s district improvement funds. Staff presented a total construction budget — including an 11% contingency and material testing services — of about $92,439.30 and asked the council to authorize the city manager and city engineer to execute contract documents and issue a notice to proceed.
Council Member Lamb moved to approve the award; Mayor Pro Tem Tim Gutierrez seconded. The measure passed unanimously. No public comment was offered on the item.
