The Zoning Board approved waivers requested by the appellant representing 27050 Lasser LLC that will allow redevelopment of a corner gas-station site at Lasser Road and 11 Mile Road with reduced landscape-belt widths and small setback reductions.
Applicant Hatem Hanawa said the redesign closes some driveways, restructures pedestrian paths, adds streetscape walls and modest landscaping, and will improve vehicular flow. Staff told the board the proposed changes improve site aesthetics and traffic circulation and that landscaping variances had been reduced from initial submittals after working with planning staff.
There was no public comment. Board members indicated no objection; a motion to grant the waivers passed and the board advised the applicant to coordinate final permits with the city.
What’s next: The applicant will complete permit filings with the city; staff will confirm the final landscape and setback dimensions during plan review.
