Franklin Zoning Board grants several developer extensions of time

The board approved an extension for Side Data Mandere (ZBA1937) through Nov. 24, 2026, citing the applicant’s need to obtain state historic commission review of a proposed right‑turn lane. The board also granted a one‑year extension for 64 Casa Ania LLC (approval expired Sept. 21, 2025) to Sept. 21, 2026, and approved an extension for Loiato Hardscapes (ZBA20018) to resolve remaining engineering items. Earlier on the consent portion of the agenda the board recorded roll‑call approvals for Hawthorne Management (ZVA21001), Houndtown 543 (ZBA2515) and 655 M LLC (ZDBA2420).
Why it matters: extensions keep approvals alive while applicants complete required steps — such as engineering sign‑offs or state reviews — without requiring new public notice or a new hearing. Several board members noted statutory limits on the total extension time allowed and confirmed applicants must still satisfy outstanding conditions in the original resolutions.
