Allendale council adopts stricter accessory‑building setback rule, introduces downtown parking ordinance

Council members moved and passed the consent agenda, which included: appointing a full‑time building monitor for the community center; authorizing the Turn the Town Teal program for the Allendale Women’s Club; approving installation of a new PA system at Crestwood Lake; adopting an amendment to the Allendale Police Department rules and regulations; and hiring an additional seasonal employee for operations. The consent agenda passed on roll call with one abstention noted in the clerk’s record.
The council also approved Resolution 25‑149 to reappoint municipal clerk Linda and held a brief swearing‑in ceremony. The clerk recited the oath of office in the chamber in the presence of her family and council members.
