After reconvening from closed session the district clerk read multiple formal actions taken by the board.
The clerk reported the board unanimously approved a memorandum of agreement with the California School Employees Association Chapter 828 regarding a voluntary demotion for employee number 7967. The clerk also announced appointments approved in closed session, including Michael McNeel as executive assistant (Range 37 Step 3, effective Dec. 2, 2024) and two nutrition services field supervisors (appointments effective Dec. 10, 2024).
On student discipline, the board moved and adopted a series of expulsion recommendations and admission placements. Several students were ordered expelled to San Bernardino County community schools for one year from the date of board action, with completion of terms and conditions of a rehabilitation plan required prior to Dec. 12, 2025 for specific cases. One admission case placed a student at High Desert Premier Academy for the spring semester effective Jan. 6, 2025.
Board actions on these items were recorded by the clerk as adopted by motion and voice vote. The clerk read the motion language and effective dates into the public record following closed session.
