Organizers of the Altadena Forever Run presented checks to the Altadena Town Council on Tuesday and described turnout and fundraising from the January event.
Organizers said the run registered participants from across the country and delivered net proceeds to local relief: presenters reported that 67% of proceeds will go to the Altadena Eat and Fire Relief Fund and 33% to the Sheriff’s support group (SUGA). Organizers said "In total, the Altadena Forever Run contributed $148,485.84 to the Altadena Eat and Fire Relief Fund," and thanked sponsors including SoCal Gas, First City Credit Union, Axon, East West Bank, GoFundMe and Toyota of Pasadena.
The council and community applauded presenters and organizers for bringing runners to Altadena and for directing funds to fire survivors. Organizers also announced registration for a second run in January 2027 and said additional event materials and videos highlighting fire survivors are online.
Ending: Council members thanked organizers and said the check presentations and community turnout demonstrate local support for fire recovery.
