The Howard County Drainage Board accepted two subdivision plats for placement on the April 20 agenda.
Brian Pierce of 40th Parallel Surveying requested acceptance of the Williamsdale one‑lot subdivision (2.13 acres) and said a drainage tile and perimeter drain easement would provide septic access. Staff noted soil borings were completed but were not included on the copy before the board; Pierce said updated sheets would be provided for the hearing. The board accepted the plat for public hearing on April 20 following a motion by Mr. Byron and second by Mr. Dodd.
Pierce then presented Timberfield Estates, a two‑lot subdivision totaling about 12 acres. Staff reported a 5‑inch clay tile about 3.5 feet below grade and said an access easement should be shown on the plat. Pierce said MS4 paperwork would be filed that week. The board required drainage calculations and accepted the plat for the April 20 public hearing; the motion carried by voice vote.
Both plats will return to the board for public hearings and staff review on April 20; applicants were directed to provide updated drawings and required technical documentation in advance for staff review.
