At its April 7 meeting the Londonderry School Board carried a slate of procedural votes and contract awards.
Policy votes: On third reading the board adopted and rescinded several policies by voice vote. The motions—moved most often by Amanda Butcher and seconded by board colleagues—passed unanimously. Policies taken up included EBB CA (use and location of external defibrillators), JFAB (admission of tuition-paying non-resident students), and a pair of motions concerning prohibitions on deep-fake images and media. The meeting minutes record each motion as approved by the five-member board.
Capital purchases: The board approved recommended low bidders and vendors for several FY27 capital reserve projects. Contracts awarded included: - High school gym floor refinishing to New England Sports Flooring for $42,400. - North School gym floor overport to New England Sports Flooring for $31,700. - LMS pod carpet replacement to R. Frasier for $29,971. - Infield groomer (turf equipment) to Turf Products for $39,356.
Each award was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Board members noted the need to complete summer scheduling and the tight summer construction timeline when executing these contracts.
Procedural notes: The board also discussed minor calendar date changes for June and August meetings and approved liaison assignments for the 2025–26 year. Several votes were unanimous; no roll-call tallies beyond yes votes were required for the routine items.
Next steps: Contracts will be executed over the summer and project work scheduled as bidders’ timelines permit; facility staff will coordinate installation and scheduling to minimize disruption to school events.
