At its April 14 meeting, the Woodland Park School District RE-2 board took several governance and personnel actions.
Trustees adopted GP8 (governance process for agenda planning and meetings) following a motion and roll-call vote. "I move to approve GP8," a trustee said; the board approved the policy by unanimous roll-call.
The board also passed a resolution designating May 4–8, 2026, as Staff Appreciation Week to recognize educators, support staff and administrators. The resolution notes the board's intention to work with staff and community partners on recognition events during that week.
Finally, after attorney-reviewed edits and a session that included the superintendent, the board voted to approve the superintendent's contract. Trustees confirmed the updated contract language and voted; the motion passed by roll-call with all members in favor.
Board members asked that the work session agenda include discussion of additional ways the board itself might participate in staff appreciation week and directed staff to post the updated contract text to the district web page as appropriate.
(Outcome: GP8 adopted; Staff Appreciation Week proclaimed; superintendent contract approved.)
