Wood County Board approves package of budget amendments, pay-rate adjustments and an appointment

The Wood County Board on March 17 approved a set of budget amendments, adjusted pay rates for two elected offices and confirmed an appointment to the Health and Human Services Committee.
The board unanimously approved resolutions 26-3-1 through 26-3-5, a bundled package that included an $86,990 amendment to the 2025 debt-service paying agent budget to cover unanticipated issuance costs, adjustments to Norwood Health Center capital and water-pipe replacement budgets, a $11,796.91 adjustment to child-support accounts, creation of a 0.5 FTE program assistant in the victim-witness program with state reimbursement eligibility, and additional highway budget adjustments totaling $3,322,740.31. The chair read the fiscal notes and described the source of funds for 26-3-1 as “unanticipated revenues from debt service debt premium revenue ... totaling $86,990.” The chair later declared the package passed by voice vote.
The board also approved resolution 26-3-6, a housekeeping measure that sets elements of committed and assigned governmental fund balances projected as of Dec. 31, 2025; the fiscal note projected total committed and assigned fund balance of $7,339,251. In a separate action the board adopted resolution 26-3-7, establishing pay rates for the clerk of courts and the sheriff for the 2027–2030 term; the transcript records the fiscal-note figures as presented to the board.
Earlier in the meeting the board confirmed Rachel Stancowski to a three-year term on the Health and Human Services Committee following a motion by Supervisor Hamilton and a second by Pedver.
All roll-call portions of votes recorded in the transcript show named supervisors responding in the affirmative for the major packages; the chair declared the resolutions passed by voice vote and noted their passage.
