Trustees to review proposed elementary attendance boundary map next week; EOI testing results to follow

Trustees were told May 11 that the district will present a proposed elementary attendance boundary map next week and plan to consider adopting it in June after a community review period.
"What we're planning to do is bring the board the proposed elementary attendance boundary map that's been developed over 3 months or so with our committee," the staff member said, noting the intention to give trustees and the community at least a month to digest and ask questions before a June adoption vote.
Dr. Gomez also told trustees that EOI testing finishes this Friday and that a full presentation on EOI and preliminary STAR data will be scheduled; he said staff prefer to wait until testing windows close so they can provide a more complete presentation to trustees.
The board scheduled discussion next week and indicated a June timeframe for any adoption vote, giving trustees time to review the map and solicit community input.
