Fletcher Town approves Patton Construction bid for park field repairs

Fletcher Town staff recommended awarding a contract for sports-field repairs to Patton Construction after a second bid opening, and the council approved the award by voice vote.

A staff member told the council the original bid, advertised with a formal bidding threshold, received only one proposal when opened Feb. 4 and therefore had to be rejected. The project was rebid; staff said the rebid opened the previous Tuesday and yielded two responsive bids.
