Rathdrum — The council approved a $15,500 amendment to the city’s contract with JUB Engineers to account for unanticipated additional record drawings and mapping work for the water master plan update.
Public‑works staff explained that the original scope anticipated reviewing 10–15 sets of record drawings, but the consultant received nearly 100, creating scope creep. The amendment will fund the extra review, GIS work and hydraulic modeling needed to finalize the plan; staff said the amendment is an estimate not to exceed $15,500 and that the original contract’s September deadline remains in force.
Council voted to authorize the mayor to sign the amendment. Staff said the work will refine the hydraulic model and GIS records used to plan future water infrastructure improvements.
