On the expenditure side, Piles said capital spending will increase next quarter after the recent purchase of a new fire truck; staff recorded a check of about $1.9 million for that vehicle. He also described a practice of tracking ARPA salary transfers separately so they are not counted as recurring general‑fund salary savings.
Council asked routine clarifying questions about fund timing and capital schedules; staff said the city is continuing to monitor revenues and timing of capital projects through departmental oversight and the technical‑review committee where applicable. No formal budget amendments were adopted during the meeting.
