Diana Sprag, executive director of the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico, told the commission the Food Bank had moved into the Roosevelt County Food Pantry about a year ago but never received an executed lease for the property at 600 North Avenue K. Sprag asked the board to approve the lease so the Food Bank could obtain proper insurance coverage; the commission approved the request by motion.
Miss Diaz presented the annual land-use and management agreement between Roosevelt County and the Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation for management of the Enterprise Center at 100 South Avenue and asked the commission to renew the agreement. Commissioners asked whether an RFP would be required in the future; staff explained the arrangement is a use agreement and not a purchase, and that the procurement was last examined in 2022 and likely should be revisited next year. The commission approved the renewal by motion.
Both actions were recorded as carried. Staff and commissioners noted operational clarifications (insurance for the Food Bank; RFP timing for the Enterprise Center) and directed staff to proceed with executed documents.
