The Little Miami River Chamber Alliance presented the 2026 Valentine Lady nomination during the Jan. 14 meeting of the Loveland City Council and introduced Cynthia Tate as the honoree.
Lynn Ari, who made the nomination, listed Tate’s volunteer activities including weekly visits to a first‑grade classroom, participation with the Loveland Shorts Film Festival, beautification work and volunteer service with the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the SPCA. After accepting the honor, Cynthia Tate described the role as an opportunity to celebrate the town and meet students. "I think for me it's just about representing and celebrating what a great town we have here," she said.
Council and chamber representatives noted commemorative note cards created from local artwork will be available at the post office and local businesses; the Valentine ladies will stamp cards at the post office Feb. 2–13 (daily 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.). A community breakfast to celebrate the Valentine ladies, including the announcement of winning poems from a chamber poetry contest, is scheduled for Feb. 13 at 8:30 a.m. at the Oasis.
The program dates, stamp locations and related sales information were presented as community announcements; no council action was required.
