Weld County honors assessor staffer Suanne Hos after 32 years of service

County commissioners on March 23 recognized Suanne Hos, a transfers-department employee in the Weld County Assessor’s Office, for 32 years of service.
County Assessor Brenda Doniswald introduced Hos at the meeting, saying Hos began in 1994 and played a key role in converting maps and parcel records from paper to an electronic system. "She quality controlled every line," Doniswald said, crediting Hos with reviewing the county’s parcel work across 4,000 square miles and helping the assessor’s office move to electronic maps.
Josh, Hos’s supervisor, told commissioners Hos’s steady presence and institutional knowledge made her invaluable. "Any manager would be lucky to have someone like her team," he said, adding that he would miss her calm, steady presence.
The board presented a certificate noting Hos’s service from April 16, 1994 to June 1, 2026; the certificate was signed by the commissioners. Several commissioners offered personal remarks and well-wishes at the meeting.
In response, Hos thanked county staff and colleagues in GIS and the assessor’s office for their support over her career and said she planned to spend time organizing and enjoying retirement in the weeks after her last day.
