She said both parcels 44 and 42 must be traversed to reach her parcel (parcel 38), and that she and her husband plan to build a private road and bring equipment for surveying and well drilling as development continues.
Rose said she contacted Nevada Energy and spoke with a representative named Tabitha Voit, who reviewed the packet and supplied a map showing transmission lines crossing Rose’s property. "These transmission lines go back a long time, like 1912," Rose said, and she noted there are easements associated with those lines. According to her account, Nevada Energy staff indicated they would not dispatch a technician unless a defined project were underway but provided mapping information about the utility infrastructure.
Rose asked whether the county could assist in contacting other parcel owners shown on her more detailed map and in communicating with the utility about the existing roads and easements. She emphasized safety and access concerns for family members, surveyors and contractors who may need to reach the property. Rose said she plans to return at next month’s meeting with any new information.
