Peachtree City signals ordinance changes to tighten path and micromobility rules

Peachtree City Mayor Kim Learnard said the Transportation Advisory Group completed a comprehensive review of ordinance language in Chapter 70 and Chapter 78, recommending clarifications and updates to address safety and consistency with state law.

"Our transportation advisory group spent a lot of time reviewing and completing modifications to our ordinances in chapter 70 and chapter 78 pertaining to streets, sidewalks, and traffic," Mayor Kim Learnard said. She told the work session the TAG identified gaps and areas requiring clarification, strengthened PATH rules and standards, clarified definitions and permitted uses, and addressed golf carts and other micromobility devices that operate on city paths.
