The motion to accept the resignation was approved by voice/roll call with the following commissioners recorded as voting yes: Mener, Raker, Bunton, Dempsey and Hill.
The commission did not set a date for filling the vacancy; staff said more information about the charter-based process will be provided at the following meeting. Commissioners expressed regret at Blash’s departure and thanked him for his service; a formal recognition will be scheduled later.
The commission then proceeded to other agenda items, including economic-development and capital projects oversight.
